Family who were able to attend
Emma was baptized on Saturday, May 31, 2008. We did it on a Saturday, instead of during a Sunday church service, because her Grandma and Grandpa Steitz were going to be out of town on Sunday, June 1. We wanted to do it that weekend because her Aunt Suzanne and her Great Grandma Wendling were in Tulsa from out of state. Our pastor didn't mind coming up to church and performing the baptism. It was very special to see our little gift from God being baptized into His family. The gown Emma wore is over 40 years old! My Aunt Tina wore it when she was baptized, I wore it, both my sisters wore it and my cousin, Carly, wore it. After the baptism, we went to my mom and dad's and had a Bar-B-Que with the whole family.
