Thanksgiving 2009

Once again, we spent Thanksgiving in Garden City, Kansas. We started out the day with Brandon's dad, stepmom, sister and brother. We had a great lunch and played a few games. It was nicer for Emma this year because she got to eat "real" food. Last year, all she got was the baby food turkey and sweet potatoes. Then in the evening, we went over to the Meadors' house where most of Brandon's mom's side of the family was staying. We grazed on left over turkey and mashed potatoes and, of course, had some pie. Then I got out my Cookie Lee jewelry I had brought with me and all the ladies had fun trying on the pretty pieces and getting a few for themselves. Emma even joined in on the fun....thanks to her Grandma Steitz who let her grab the jewelry. But, I must say, Emma knows where each piece of jewelry is to be put :) We have a little fashionista on our hands.
The day after Thanksgiving, we enjoyed some time at the zoo and the park with the Travers family. Emma would spend all day there if we let her.
