Emma's Aunt Karen made this cake for her...too cute!

If you remember from the previous post, we had Emma's 1st birthday party on the most snowy day of the year. We decided that we would go ahead with the party, even if there was 7 inches of snow on the ground. We did miss those guests that couldn't come, but we still had several people. Emma's grandpa Travers and Great grandma and grandpa Meadors came down from Kansas, her grandma and grandpa Steitz, Gigi and Pap, Aunt Karen, "Auntie" Laurie, Jessica, Matt and Jackson. We had a ladybug theme...Emma's Aunt Karen made the cute cake, Emma wore her ladybug outfit and we gave a ladybug book as party favors. The invitations we sent out were little ladybugs. My friend, Amber, helped me make them. Emma ate a little bit of her cake...she liked playing with it more than eating it. She really liked the vanilla ice cream. After the party, Emma was ready for a nap!
